Two Worlds Collide

The client asked for her two protagonists to be back to back, waist up. I chose to offer a different design inspired by the premise of the book. Since her story featured a split narrative between modern-day and fantasy, I pitched her a reversible picture that would position one girl as the protagonist depending on how she rotated the picture. I emphasized the premise by painting impressions of each world in the background and digitally painting in pencil for an additional sense of playfulness.
